Mechanical Project Manager
$100,000–$120,000 + Bonus + Vehicle + Commission
Industrial Piping, HVAC, and Process Systems Experience Required
An established mechanical contractor is hiring a Mechanical Project Manager with required experience in industrial and heavy commercial environments. This role manages complex mechanical installations across process piping, utility systems, and HVAC infrastructure within active plants and large-scale facilities. Candidates must have hands-on exposure to fabrication methods, welding procedures, equipment setting, and system start-up tied to live operations.
This position is execution-focused, managing multiple active job sites with full accountability for cost control, schedule adherence, documentation accuracy, and code compliance. Experience operating in field-intensive, fabrication-driven environments is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead projects from estimating and pre-construction through installation, commissioning, and turnover
• Manage industrial process piping, utility piping, and HVAC system installations
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and shop fabrication to maintain schedule and production targets
• Track costs, manage budgets, process change orders, and maintain project documentation
• Read and manage P&IDs, isometric drawings, submittals, and technical specifications
• Enforce compliance with OSHA, ASME, and applicable codes and standards
• Interface with plant personnel, field leadership, and engineering teams to maintain operational continuity
• Support commissioning and system start-up in active production environments
Required Qualifications
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in industrial mechanical HVAC and piping projects (plant retrofits and new construction required)
• Direct experience in industrial, commercial, institutional, or infrastructure project environments
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent job sites and complex field coordination
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or comparable platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience acceptable
