Metallurgical Technical Manager | Greater Chicago Land Area
$130,000 to $150,000 + Bonus | US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card).
Seeking an experienced metallurgist from Primary Steel to lead quality and technical efforts in a steel manufacturer. This role manages applications & and metallurgical Lab teams, and supports operations, technical services, and commercial groups on quality issues, with a focus is on translating customer specifications into mill process instructions and recipes, resolving quality issues, and maintaining certifications.
Requirements:
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card).

B.S. in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

10 years of industrial metal production with at least 5+ years in primary steel production.

Experience with hot rolling, casting, or melt shop operations required.

Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or related quality systems preferred
- Professional communication skills with background dealing with customers.
