Accounting Policy Senior Analyst (Remote)
Role:
The Accounting Policy Sr Analyst will report to a Technical Accounting Manager and be primarily responsible for working on the organizations SEC filings, accounting policies, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting. This position will be a highly visible role within the organization working on transactions, integrations, as well as offering complex guidance on multiple projects. This individual will also be working with a consolidations team, revenue recognition, and financial analysis departments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Technical accounting manager with accounting policies, regulations, documentation, research, etc.
- Work with the Financial Reporting Manager to help the team prepare the organization's SEC Filings (10-K / 10-Q)
- Assist with good will impairment analysis, white papers, contracts, technical documents, etc.
- Prepare financial statement preparation, disclosures, reporting, and assisting with closing the books
- Work cross functionally with consolidations, corporate decision support, and financial analysis

Conduct extensive GAAP research related to understanding and tagging certain complex client transactions

Review and distribute external reports and financial statements

Create and implement effective financial reporting systems, best practices and policies.

Responsible for reviewing vendor contracts to identify any accounting treatment that requires disclosure
- Ensure support to key stakeholders, including Internal Audit, Asset Management, Investor Relations and FP&A as needed
- Continually evaluate system processes across the organization and lead projects to streamline and improve internal and external reporting
- Participate in special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2-15 + years of relevant auditing or public accounting experience with publicly traded clients and/or within a publicly traded organization. Would consider someone with corporate SEC experience as well.
- Prior technical accounting experience is required; white papers, impairments, dispositions, disclosures, etc.
- A completed CPA or CMA; progress towards is highly preferred
