IT MANAGER 

Well respected International Packaging company seeks experienced IT Manager to join team.  Excellent opportunity to join a winning organization and work with the best.  IT Manager will streamline operation of IT department in alignment with organization.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Lead the IT department’s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. 
  2. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment. 
  3. Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. 
  4. First line Epicor ERP support.
  5. Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services. 
  6. Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. 
  7. Keep current with the latest technologies. 
  8. Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review. 
  9. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. 
  10. Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio. 
  11. Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision. 
  12. Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements. 
  13. Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment. 
  14. Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities. 
  15. Travel up to 25% required. 
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in a IT role.   However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.  

Epicor experience preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 

A strong understanding of networking and routing, including configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches and firewalls.

Windows and Windows Server administration experience required. 

SQL Database administration, particularly using MS SQL Server required. 

Experience with virtualization (VMware) required. 

Experience with all versions Office 365 administration. 

Experience planning and administering Wireless networks.

Experience with creating and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans required; this role will be involved with the design, modifications, and updates to plans on an on-going basis.
