Job Details:
Director of Accounting and Finance
Role:
As a non-profit Director of Accounting and Administration, you'll be reporting to the CEO and responsible for the non-profit’s day to day accounting, financials, month end close, all administrative duties and human resources, budgeting, reporting, oversee audits, etc. This is a key position within the organization that is a part of the overall strategy, mission, and continued development of the non-profit.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a part of the leadership team
- Supervise all day-to-day operations of the non-profits accounting systems (i.e., general and sub-ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other related accounting functions.
- Provide accurate and timely financial and management reports.
- Coordinate with and oversee human resources to manage the non-profits payroll and various employee benefit program obligations
- Assist CEO in monitoring and reporting on the annual operating budget
- Lead the preparation and coordination of annual audits (financial and retirement)
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, tax filings, professional standards and internal policies
- Live the non-profit's mission and core values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and responsibility
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required;
- CPA strongly preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting or finance experience required.
- Prior experience with strategic financial management, budgeting, and a strong working understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience in a non-profit or setting is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.
- No task is too small or too large, willingness to roll up sleeves but also understand the 10000-foot overview all at the same time

Working Situation:
Ideally, this will be an in office position. However, there is opportunity for Hyrbid working situation in the future.
