Associate Medical Director (Medical Communications)

An excellent Medical Communications company in the local area is actively in search of an Associate Medical Director or Medical Director (titles vary company to company by responsibilities). Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Qualified applicants will have experience providing scientific & clinical expertise at a medical communications company. Knowledge/experience in a variety of therapeutic areas is sought, oncology experience is a plus
This role will call upon the following attributes of qualified applicants: Medical Writing/Content Development, Client Interaction, Proposal & New Business development support exposure, Strategic Client Direction.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Strong Publication Planning experience
- Medical writing and Publication Planning experience
- Medical Writing, content development, client interaction, proposal & new business development support exposure, strategic work with client.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills are essential
- Excellent time management, multitasking and ability to deliver on time and on point.
- Ability to work with internal staff and teams (program management, account management, etc) to ensure timely delivery of content
Qualifications:
- MS, PhD, MD, PharmD, advanced degree with at least 3 or more years of Medical Writing experience in a healthcare communications company
- Strong Publications / Publication Planning experience
- CMPP a plus but not required
- Understanding of AMA guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Microsoft proficient (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other industry software)
- Ability to work both independent and as a team member
