HVAC SERVICE/SALES MANAGER
The HVAC Service/Sales Manager will be responsible for performing and coordinating HVAC services, repair and installation to the company customer base as well as assisting with new and existing business development. These activities will include providing optimal customer service and support that will include emergency, non-emergency and scheduled response functions through effective management of assigned duties and the supervising of route technicians.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responds to customer needs and maintains positive relationships with all assigned customers and personnel
Will serve as primary liaison within the area of assignment between the customer contact and the company
Manage and negotiate HVAC services and maintenance contracts
Managing of purchasing protocol and activity
Schedules and assigns work
Oversee preventative maintenance schedule and performance in conjunction with the Service Department
Observes/evaluates corrective maintenance or repair on assigned equipment
Hires, orients and trains employees to fill assigned area technician positions
Assists in administration and communication to all assigned employees regarding company policy, procedures and customer responsibility
Communicates to supervisor any information affecting or having the potential to affect customer or employee relations
Assists in troubleshooting/correction of complex maintenance requirements that may include the backup of the assigned technician(s)
Evaluates assigned technician performance
Ensures safe work practices and work environment and conducts scheduled safety training program requirements
Responds to assigned technician complaints and grievances
Completes necessary reporting requirements
Requirements
High School or Technical School diploma or certificate of completion
Minimum ten (10) years experience as an HVAC Service Manager
Proven staff management experience
Knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of maintaining buildings and facilities HVAC systems
Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials used in buildings and facilities HVAC systems
Able to assist in the maintenance of detailed activities and performance of service requirements
