VP/SVP Medical Director (Oncology)
Medical Communications - Medical Education -Healthcare Communications -Medical Marketing
My client an excellent Medical Communications company specializing in Promotional Medical Education is actively in search of a VP Medical Director or SVP Medical Director level individual with strong Oncology or Immuno-Oncology therapeutic experience. Qualified individuals will have at least four (4) or more years of experience as a Sr Medical Director level or higher within a medical communications/healthcare communications company with a strong foundation in promotional medical education / medical marketing, creating & directing client strategy, and staff mentoring & management.
This is a fulltime permanent staff position

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Individuals will possess strong experience in Oncology
- Ability to act as scientific lead to assigned clients/accounts
- Provide top notch quality scientific and medical content, strategic direction, brand planning, overall message development with clients
- Recruit faculty members for advisory boards and speaker training programs
- Ability to interact, lead and communicate effectively with KOL’s, Faculty, Clients
- Provide strong client scientific message direction
- Manage/Mentor team
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Excellent time management, multitasking and ability to deliver on time and on point.
- Ability to work with internal staff and teams (program management, account management, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of client objectives
- Provide strategic scientific support in new business development initiatives
Qualifications:
- PhD, PharmD, MD, MS advanced degree with at least 4 or more years of experience at the Senior Medical Director or higher level
- Strong client contact, strategic direction/consultation/management experience
- Applicants without agency industry specific experience in an agency setting will not be considered
- Ensure strategic client direction, brand planning, oversee message development with clients
- Pre-Launch and Launch experience
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Microsoft proficient (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other industry software)
- Ability to work as an effective team leader/motivator
