Purchasing Manager
Position Specifications :
Responsibilities:
Manage and execute all aspects of the supply chain management process including supplier and subcontractor source selection, pricing and compliance to company, customer and governmental procurement standards and requirements.
Manage all processes related to the external procurement of raw materials, parts, hardware, supplies and services at minimum cost, consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.
Monitor suppliers to ensure acceptable quality and delivery capabilities and performance.
Develop and maintain a high level of communication with customers regarding status of Requests for Quotations (RFQ’s), customer quotations and the processing of customer orders.
Utilize Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance processes and procedures in the area of purchasing, inventory management and sales fulfillment.
Establish quantitative supply chain metrics to measure cost, quality and delivery performance of the Company’s supply base.
Ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 5 years in purchasing and supplier management
Experience in MRP/ERP systems
Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple supply sources.
Able to effectively interact with customers, suppliers and internal resources.
Well organized with solid judgement able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast paced and growing company.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with planning and organizational capabilities.
