Building Code Officials, Code Enforcement Officers & Plans Examiners / Inspectors
Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities
A well-established civil firm is seeking qualified Building Code Officials (BCOs), Code Enforcement Officers, and Commercial & Residential Plans Examiners/Inspectors to join its team. Positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis.
The firm is based in Chester County, Pennsylvania, and provides professional code administration and inspection services to municipalities throughout the surrounding region.
Qualifications
- Minimum BCO certification (ICC and PA UCC required)
- International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) certification required
- Additional ICC or related certifications strongly preferred
- All certifications must be active and verifiable via ICC and PA L&I websites
- Candidates must be local to Chester County, PA, with the ability to work at nearby municipal locations
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans and perform inspections for residential and commercial construction
- Conduct code enforcement inspections and prepare accurate documentation
- Perform rental, property maintenance, and related inspections
- Apply applicable building codes professionally and consistently
