Role:
A large manufacturing company in the Lehigh Valley is looking to add a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in helping the Controller and Senior Accountant in analyzing and improving product costing and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the controller to assist with month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.
- Perform accounting in regards to cost of goods sold, inventory, bill of materials, etc.
- Work cross-functionally with A/P to code and process invoices and expense reports
- Perform financial statement preparation
- Perform standard costing and cost accounting
- Track cost impacts, capital spending, etc.
- Provide weekly reports to upper management for production performance and variances
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
- Assist with Y/E inventory audit
- Help with continuous process improvements
- Participate in manufacturing yields, labor efficiency, machine efficiency, emissions reports, and utility overhead.
- Ad Hoc Projects
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for a manufacturing environment

Proven understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial analysis

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Working Situation:
This will be an in office position.
