A Client of ours is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Production Manager to join our energetic team. This position plays a key role in managing daily warehouse activities, leading a team of over 6 staff members, and fostering a safe, efficient, and orderly workplace. The right candidate will excel with minimal oversight, exhibit strong leadership abilities, and support our goal of delivering high-quality products on schedule.
Primary Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse tasks to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead and inspire a team of 6+ employees, delegating duties and keeping them on track with their responsibilities.
- Keep company equipment in good condition while maintaining a tidy, safe, and structured work environment.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies, procedures, and specific directives.
- Participate in departmental meetings, offering clear insights on production and preparing accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
- Work alongside other departments to guarantee products meet quality standards and are shipped accurately and promptly.
- Employ various tools, including computers, labeling devices, electronic markers, and identification tags, to streamline processes.
- Ensure travelers are printed, completed, and finalized by day’s end; prepare sales orders and transfer completed orders to shipping efficiently.
- Manage shortages by prioritizing items based on shipping deadlines and monitor inventory, ordering supplies based on current stock and upcoming needs.
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of warehouse operations and packaging processes.
- Capable of handling physically demanding work, such as walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting heavy or bulky items.
- Able to work in conditions that may include occasional temperature fluctuations, machinery movement, or loud sounds.
- Collaborative attitude with strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills; adaptable and eager to pitch in where needed.
Specific Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or higher is a bonus.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or similar environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Epicor ERP software is an advantage.
