Job Details:
A client is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our Business Practices Group. This role offers an opportunity to provide transactional, research, and legal support in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver legal support to attorneys in the Business Practices Group, including transactional and research assistance.
- Analyze legal sources (contracts, statutes, judicial decisions, articles, codes, etc.) to draft documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, and more.
- Manage diverse legal matters in banking and finance, corporate law, and business formations (partnerships, corporations, LLCs).
- Handle additional areas as needed, including labor and employment, non-profits, real estate, student housing development, tax planning, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, business filings, and related documents.
- Prepare real estate closing documents and assist in the closing process.
- Communicate effectively with clients and third parties in business transactions and legal matters.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- 3+ years of law firm experience in Business and Corporate Law.
- Strong research skills with knowledge of applicable laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and regulations.
- Excellent reading comprehension, writing, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Self-starter with outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Lexis or Westlaw and Microsoft Word; strong computer skills required.
- Professional, courteous demeanor with a results-oriented mindset.
