Role Overview:
An expanding home health organization seeks a strategic and growth-focused Accountant to lead and manage the financial functions that support and accelerate the company's dynamic growth. This role includes overseeing daily financial operations, directing billing and collections processes, and leading budgeting, planning, and forecasting to guide executive decisions. The Accountant will partner directly with ownership to support ongoing expansion, streamline accounting operations, and provide essential data analysis for strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) oversight, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly close processes.
- Budgeting and Planning: Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and plans that align with company growth objectives.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with ownership on cash flow analysis, cost control measures, and expense management, providing key financial insights for informed decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with external CPA firms to ensure timely completion of financial statements, tax compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Team Coordination: Lead financial and administrative teams, coordinating efforts to maintain operational efficiency and drive company goals.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA designation preferred.
- Experience: Proven background in finance with expertise in AR/AP functions, general ledger management, and month-end closings.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and familiarity with industry-standard billing software.
- Personal Skills: Highly organized, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills, able to thrive in a team-oriented, high-growth environment.
