Project Manager – Land Surveying
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our growing land surveying team. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed or soon-to-be licensed Land Surveyor to contribute to diverse land development projects across southern New England. The role offers the chance to collaborate on boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeouts, and more, working with both private- and public-sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Surveying and Senior Project Manager to prepare survey mapping, including boundary and topographic surveys, easements, and subdivision plans.
- Perform boundary computations and assist in scheduling and preparation for field crews.
- Import and process field data, creating topographic maps using TIN surfaces.
- Conduct land record research on subject properties and surrounding areas.
- Periodically serve as a crew chief, overseeing fieldwork and ensuring project compliance.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and project procedures throughout the survey process.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Land Surveyor (LS) in Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Rhode Island preferred, or an LSIT with the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Civil 3D in a land surveying capacity.
- Strong knowledge of field survey methods and the ability to occasionally serve as crew chief.
- Experience in digital surface modeling or site design is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with clients and team members.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain when needed.
