Survey Crew Chief
Surveying – Land Development – Land Surveyor
Our client is actively in search of an experienced Survey Crew Chief that will travel to a wide variety of sites to perform all aspects of field work related to boundary, ALTA, topographic surveys, and construction staking for land development projects.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Approximately three (3) or more years of industry experience, i.e., engineering field surveying for topographic, boundary, ALTA, construction staking and calculations, preparing grade sheets, field data analysis & mapping, etc.
- Knowledge and ability to interpret engineering plans accurately
- Perform field calculations to determine horizontal and vertical locations for needed data points
- Read construction drawings, performing construction staking and layout.
- Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients.
- Transfer files between data collectors and internal company project folders
- Operate Robotic Total Stations, Data Collectors and GPS
- Record data accurately, while maintaining organization
- Use data collection field to finish codes
- Documentation of field procedures and crew members
- Maintain baseline standards in survey notes, point descriptions, and calculations
- Prepare clear and concise project task documentation for the entire team’s benefit
- Provide field documentation in anticipation of PLS’s and/or office support’s needs
- Direct and supervise work of subordinate members of surveying parties
- Must have a valid Driver’s license with acceptable driving record
