Chief Estimator – Estimating Manager (Commercial Construction)
My client an excellent GC/CM Construction company based in the local area is actively seeking an experienced commercial construction Chief Estimator / Estimating Manager. This is an immediate need with a streamlined hiring/interview process for qualified applicants.

- Project experience in commercial, institutional, large retail, healthcare and education projects ranging in average scope from 4-15+ million dollars
- Negotiated bid work experience (from concept through construction)
- Oversee/manage department prepare and negotiate subcontracts ,take-offs, pricing
- Create/Maintain Bid Proposal Attachments, Qualifications
- Site visits to assist in preparing cost estimates and proposals
- Participate in bid presentations when necessary
- Prepare bid packages for subcontracts
- Prepare and evaluate value engineering for cost reductions and schedule impacts
Requirements
- Qualified individuals for these positions will have at least 8 or more years of (Commercial, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Retail, Institutional, Academic) estimating experience with a stable work history and relevant work/ project experience.
- Staff management experience desired
- Bachelor’s degree desired (Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering), NOT required.
- Individuals that are hard working, forward thinking construction personnel that love the industry and want to work for an excellent company.
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written with the ability to interact with a variety of people (Clients, Sub Contractors, Colleagues, Vendors, Management, etc.).
