Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Foreman - Heavy Highway Construction.
Qualifications
- Experience in heavy civil construction foreman work
- Previous experience in a construction leadership role, preferably as a Foreman or Supervisor
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with the ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
Responsibilities
- Join our client's team as a Construction Foreman and take the lead in exciting construction projects
- This role offers the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, oversee project execution, and contribute to the success of our dynamic construction team
- Lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety compliance
- Direct and supervise a team, providing guidance and support throughout the construction process
- Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop project schedules, allocate resources, and manage project budgets
- Coordinate all phases of construction activities
- Interpret and implement construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, enforcing site safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure project objectives are met
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
