Job Details:
My client is a highly reputable, and award-winning banquet and event venue, looking to add an experienced Banquet and Event Planner to their team!
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare BEOs, proposals, contracts, and change forms according to client specifications.
- Answer event inquiries, appointment scheduling, prospective client tours, and meet with clients and prospective clients.
- Generate and create reports from Event Master software and Microsoft Office applications to track events, revenue, and other pertinent event information.
- Attended trade shows, conventions, and trips to network and represent the company to prospective clients.
- Constant communication with all departments to ensure each event runs smoothly and according to plan.
- Active participant in daily team meetings, sales meetings, and meetings with all levels of management in each department.
- Follow-up within a timely manner and keep constant contact with sales leads, prospective clients, and clients to ensure an open line of communication between all parties to avoid any possible miscommunication.
- Update client accounts in the banquet system to ensure all information is up to date and accurate.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience within the banquet/event industry within a luxury and/or full-service hotel or a banquet/event venue.
- Knowledge of catering programs, such as Event Master.
- Excellent communication skills- with prospective clients, clients, and all levels of staff and management.
