MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT
Greater Philadelphia Area HVAC mechanical construction contractor is hiring for a Mechanical Superintendent with extensive HVAC construction experience.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with the design budget and schedule. Including interfacing with client representatives and subcontractors.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions as well as provide direction of administrative staff.
- May authorize and approve all project personnel transactions purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.
- Assist Project Management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, Standards, etc.
- Ensure that all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements and work rules. Documenting all violations and notifying project management while recommending/implementing corrective actions as required.
- Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts efficient use of materials, equipment and contractual performance of project.
- Perform additional assignments and duties per Project Manager direction.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 10 years HVAC construction supervision experience.
- Four year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and or related experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction technology of hotels, equipment and methods as well as cost control, scheduling and safety.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility and risk management capabilities.
- Strategic thinker who can establish and manage plans while building and fostering relationships.
- Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
SALARY: $80-110K
