Payroll Audit Senior - One of the top firm's in the Philadelphia area!

Role:
As the Senior Payroll Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll processes and procedures within the organizations. You will review and analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or anomalies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Conducting payroll audits: Reviewing payroll data and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying errors and discrepancies: Analyzing payroll data to identify any inconsistencies, errors, or discrepancies, such as incorrect calculations, missing information, or unauthorized payments.
- Documenting audit findings: Creating detailed reports documenting audit findings, including errors or discrepancies identified, root causes, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Internal controls assessment: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing internal controls related to payroll processes, identifying weaknesses or gaps, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Process improvement: Collaborating with payroll and HR teams to identify process improvement opportunities, streamline payroll procedures, and enhance overall payroll operations efficiency.
- Qualifications:
- Prior public accounting experience is required
- 3+ years of payroll audit experience
- CPA is a huge plus
- Ability to travel locally (no overnight travel)
