Role:
As a Staff Accountant (Audit), your main responsibility will be to assist in conducting audits of financial statements in accordance with established standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and performing audits of financial statements for various clients.
- Conduct walkthroughs and perform testing of internal controls to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify any potential issues or irregularities.
- Prepare detailed working papers and documentation to support the audit findings.
- Clearly communicate audit findings and recommendations to colleagues and clients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective audit procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports by providing accurate and complete information.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively contribute to the implementation of best practices.
- Support management in special projects or assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or working towards CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or audit.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
