Cost Accounting Supervisor

A manufacturing organization located in the City of Industry is in need of a Cost Accounting Manager. This individual will be responsible for the cost reporting for the organization, managing cost and plant accountants. Qualified candidates for this position will have a very strong cost accounting background with at least 5 years of progressive experience. Supervisory experience is required, BS is required, CPA or MBA is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing product costs, inventory, reserves, and manufacturing variances, analyze and monitor standard product costs
- Assist in implementing inventory accounting policies and procedures per GAAP
- Assist Controller with Journal entries affecting the inventory accounts
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement and analysis
- Assist with Physical inventory accounts and monthly cycle counts
- Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, capital month-end reports, capital expenditures, etc.
- Other miscellaneous tasks on ad-hoc basis
- Performs additional duties including special projects on an ad-hoc basis upon request
