SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTANT
Hamptons-based general construction contractor is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will assist the Controller with all aspects of the company's accounting operations and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled accountant with construction industry experience who wants to join a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities:
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Maintains general ledger, prepares a trial balance, reconciles entries, and resolves discrepancies
Monitor income and expenses in various companies
Prepare financial reports to analyze business performance
Assist in producing payroll, processing, printing checks, and reviewing for accuracy
Completes external audits by analyzing, reconciling general ledger accounts, and providing requested information for auditors
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Proficient in Sage software
Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy
SALARY: $100-200K + Benefits
