Senior Medical Writer- Associate Scientific Director

If you have experience in the medical communications industry at the Medical Writer, Sr Medical Writer, Associate Scientific Director, Scientific Director level and are actively, passively or even entertaining a change we should talk. Compensation & responsibilities are commensurate with experience. Individuals will have at minimum of at least (2) two or more years of experience providing scientific & clinical expertise within a medical communications company / agency setting with a strong foundation in publications & pub planning.
This role will call upon the following attributes of qualified applicants: Medical Writing/Content Development, Strategic Client Interaction & Direction, Proposal & New Business development support.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Strong Publications/ Publication Planning experience
- Maintain an increasing knowledge of content development, publication planning, therapeutic area(s) and provide strategic advice/direction to client(s).
- Medical Writing, content development, client interaction, proposal & new business development support exposure, strategic work with client.
- Experience utilizing various information services including reference systems, on-line journal subscriptions, libraries, and literature search databases (i.e., Pub Med) to research medical and scientific topics and journals
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills are essential
- Excellent time management, multitasking and ability to deliver within timelines
- Ability to work with internal staff and teams (program management, account management, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of content
- Communicate with clients/faculty/KOL’s/Authors
Qualifications:
- MS, PhD, MD, PharmD, advanced degree with at least 2 or more years of Medical Writing experience in a healthcare communications company (i.e. abstracts, posters, primary manuscripts, review manuscripts, etc.)
- Understanding of AMA guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Microsoft proficient (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other industry software)
- Ability to work both independently as well as a value added member of the team
