Senior Accountant
65-85K and Bonus
Role:
As a Senior Accountant, this person will be responsible for day to day accounting for the manufacturing site including general ledger, cost accounting, month end, inventory accounting, standard costing, reporting and analysis. This position will be working heavily with operations as well to help the team understand cost improvements, process improvements, status updates, inventory counts, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Manages all accounting operations
- Participation in stock inventory;
- Calculation of cost of sales and sales prices
- Prepares budgets, forecasts, financial reports
- Oversight of accounts payable and receivable
- Perform month end close, journal entries, general ledger, etc.
- Calculates taxes and submits tax returns on time
- Prepare balance sheet and income statement
- Analyze overhead, cost of sales, and actual manufacturing costs compared to budget, forecast, and prior periods. Prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, and reports factors affecting prices and profitability of products.
- Partnering with business leaders, corporate finance, and cross-functional teams in support of operations financial metrics
- Special Projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 3+ years of prior public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Prior manufacturing accounting, plant accounting, cost accounting, and/or job costing experience is desired
- Ability to communicate with all levels or employee across all professions
Compensation:
