Growing construction group in the Philadelphia suburbs is seeking an up and coming Construction Accountant to join their team!
The Construction Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include:

Monitoring and managing all financial transactions related to a construction project, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

Developing and maintaining budgets for construction projects, including forecasting costs and revenue, and variance analysis.

Preparing financial reports for project management. Managing relationships with vendors and subcontractors, including negotiating contracts and change orders.

Conducting financial analysis on the performance of construction projects and providing recommendations for improvements.

Ensuring compliance with accounting and financial regulations and standards.

Preparing financial statements and reports for management and outside stakeholders.
To perform successfully the construction accountant will need a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as experience in the construction industry. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders are also required. Additionally, the construction accountant must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
