Project Accountant
$120k-$145k
The Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of a specific project or group of projects. You will work closely with project managers and department heads to ensure that the financial goals of the project are met.
Responsibilities:
- Create and monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that project financials stay within budget.
- Generate financial reports for project stakeholders, including project managers, department heads, and senior management.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues that may impact the financial performance of the project.
- Ensure compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external partners such as vendors and contractors to ensure that project expenses are properly accounted for.
- Participate in project planning meetings to provide financial guidance and support.
- Conduct periodic audits of project financials to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with project management software and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
