Tax Manager
Bethlehem, PA
Hybrid - 1 / 2 days in office
90-120K and Bonus
Role:
As a Tax Manager, you'll be reporting to a Director of Tax and responsible for the day to day tax operations and management of staff. This individual will be responsible for wearing multiple hats including managing as well as researching topics, supporting audits for non-income tax (sales & use tax or property tax), transfer pricing, restructuring, foreign tax matters, as well as some other projects. This is highly visible position with the executive team that requires a strong federal and state income tax skill set.
Responsibilities:
- Lead tax efforts for the organization including federal, state, and local tax returns
- Assist executive suite in developing and implementing tax planning as well as modifying policies and procedures
- Prepare year-end provision calculations and footnote disclosures (ASC 740)
- Be the point of contact for all outside vendors/auditors, any tax related issues or questions both internally and externally as well as be the subject matter expert on any changes in federal, state, and local laws
- Oversee and supervise of all income, franchise/net worth, property, and sales/use taxes.
- Mentor, train, and develop staff
- Special Projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's in Tax degree is preferred
- CPA and/or progress towards is a huge plus
- The ability to work with all levels of employees
- Prior experience with ASC 740 is required
Working Situation:
This is a mainly remote position as there is an option to be 90% remote work from home for this role! There will be 1 day a week in the office.
