FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - PLCs
Well-respected Packaging Machinery and Automation company seeks an experienced Field Service Tech with direct PLC experience. This is a field service position that requires up to 75% travel. Must be a road warrior with no travel concerns. Must also have direct PLC troubleshooting using Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000 and Panelview programming.

Primary Objective: Provide technical support by installing and servicing equipment at customer locations while meeting or exceeding standards for quality, productivity, and safety.
The Actual Job:
• Install, service and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites, resolving mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
• Provide Hands on training for Customer employees.
• Documents technical and customer information to facilitate and maintain effective business relationship.
• Expect to travel 50-75% on the road (Limited Weekend Travel).
• When not traveling or at a customer site, you will provide in-house customer technical support via phone or e-mail to troubleshoot and resolve equipment challenges.
• Occasionally help the controls engineering group with changing or creating electrical/pneumatic schematics. As well as PLC and PanelView programs.
• AutoCAD experience is also desired but not a requirement. -
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills:
- Must have strong knowledge of RSLogix 5000 and PanelView programming (or similar software).
- Must also have good troubleshooting skills with a good understanding of automated equipment including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
