Senior Accountant
Role:
A global, stable, and leader within the energy manufacturing industry is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. Assisting the Assistant Controller, this individual will be responsible for both accounting and analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger, intercompany accounting, month end close analysis, some variance analysis, etc. This will also liaison with financial reporting, technical accounting and treasury. This is a highly visible opening that will lead to future growth opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Assistant Controller to help with month end, journal entries, general ledger and day to day accounting activities
- Perform intercompany reconciliations, debt reconciliations, interested reconciliations, etc.
- Assist with month end close and analysis
- Assist with balance sheet and income statement
- Be a liaison between financial reporting, technical accounting, and treasury
- Provide financials to operations, engineering, and business leaders in order to help with decision making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required. Masters or MBA is a plus
- 3+ years of public accounting and/or fortune 1000 corporate accounting
- Ability to speak with all levels and types of professionals internal and externally
- Prior Excel and ERP skills are a must
Working Situation:
This is a hybrid working situation with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
