Senior Financial Reporting Accountant
Role:
Liberty Personnel is seeking a high-caliber accounting / auditing professional looking to build on their current technical knowledge. The position is part of the Research and Financial Reporting team reporting to the Manager of Technical Accounting and Policy. Specifically, this role focuses on delivering value add to the Company through a variety of tasks including the research and resolution of complex technical accounting matters and drafting technical accounting memos. Additionally, this role will assist in the implementation of new accounting standards, preparation and review of the organization's accounting policy manual, contract review, and a variety of other accounting areas. This role will also work on the preparation of regulatory filings (10-Q's and 10-K's). This position will have broad exposure to our business and interaction with various departments and business units.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Manager of Technical Accounting and Policy to help the team prepare the organization's SEC Filings (10-K / 10-Q)
- Prefer accounting functions that are specialized around incentive based compensation. This would include financial statement preparation, disclosures, reporting, and assisting with closing the books.
- Work cross functionally with consolidations, corporate decision support, and financial analysis
- Assess and help implement or update internal controls, standards, and efficiencies
- Special projects and/or ad hoc projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of relevant auditing or public accounting experience with publicly traded clients and/or within a publicly traded organization. Would consider someone with corporate SEC experience
- A completed CPA or progress towards is highly preferred
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package will be available for this position including a
- base salary 75-105K
