Labor Relations Manager
Role:
As a Labor Relations Manager, you'll be reporting to a Human Resource Business Partner/Manager and be responsible for labor relations across several manufacturing plants and sites that have both union and non-union employees. This would include unions, bargaining agreements, grievances, arbitration, and negotiations. This would also include understanding the law, documentation, reporting, implementing policies, developing working relationships, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Human Resource team to establish policies, procedures, and documentation
- Work with manufacturing sites to establish labor management relations, bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, etc.
- Research, document, and implement labor laws - affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, human resources, labor relations, etc.
- Prepare reports with statistical data; identify key areas of improvement
- Develop working relationships with each site and their business leaders/local human resources
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or similar discipline
- 5+ years of labor relations experience; union experience
- Must have prior contract negotiation experience with several unions
- Must be able to travel 10% domestically to plant locations as needed
- Prior experience with conflict resolutions, bargaining, grievances, etc.
- Understanding of labor laws; ability to research and document
Working Conditions:
This can be 100% remote working situation with Travel. Travel will be to sites in the North East and Mid-west of the United States.
