Job Details:
Accounting Manager
This position is responsible for supervising staff and senior accountants. The team is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting the financial and operating results, including the preparation of the following: GAAP financial statements, monthly reporting package to senior management, supporting schedules to general ledger accounts, variance analysis, and support to produce financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, documenting, implementing and maintaining month end processes
- Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
- Maintaining the general ledger system
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Coordinating the budget process
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Ledgers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years working in an accounting or finance role
- CPA or actively working towards CPA is preferred
- Able to demonstrate proficient accounting knowledge with expertise in month end processes and reporting
- Proven communication and presentation skills
- Driven individual able to manage full time employees
- Exposure to and a desire for continuous improvement methodologies
