Senior Estimator (Commercial Construction)

An excellent GC/CM Construction company based in the Philadelphia suburbs is actively seeking an experienced commercial construction Senior Estimator. Applicants at the lead, senior chief estimator level are all urged to apply. This is an immediate need with a streamlined hiring/interview process for qualified applicants. - Bid commercial, healthcare, hospital, distribution & warehouse, college academia, projects ranging in value to multi-million dollar (ground up, addition, renovation, fit out work)
- Negotiated bid work experience
- Prepare and negotiate subcontracts
- Take-offs, Pricing
- Create/Maintain Bid Proposal Attachments, Qualifications
- Site visits to assist in preparing cost estimates and proposals
- Participate in bid presentations when necessary
- Prepare bid packages for subcontracts
- Prepare and evaluate value engineering for cost reductions and schedule impacts
Requirements
- Qualified individuals for this position will have at least eight (8) or more years of construction estimating experience with relevant project work (Commercial, Industrial, Mixed Use, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Retail, Institutional, Academic)
- Stable work history and relevant work/ project experience
- Bachelor’s degree a plus (Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering), NOT required.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written with the ability to interact with a variety of people (Clients, Sub Contractors, Colleagues, Vendors, Management, etc.).
