Our client is actively seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager for a full time permanent staff roll, focusing on a variety of projects in site construction. If you are looking for a team centered environment where you can add value to the team with ideas and a voice, this is a great potential match.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering, construction management or related field desired (not required)
- ~ (5) five years of site work construction experience; (Excavation, Utilities, Asphalt Paving Projects)
- Professional credentials – PMP Certification, Engineer in Training (EIT), or Associate Constructor (AC) in good standings is a PLUS
- The ability to effectively communicate both in the English written and spoken word.
- Understanding and agreement of the importance and necessity for Safety on the work site
- Understands the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
- Understands project cost control and change order management
- Understands means and methods of site work construction
- Detail oriented, recognizes and provides for all important facts and issues
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proactive, someone who looks for problems that could impede progress and relentlessly takes responsibility for solving them
- Polite, conversational, self-confident, non-assuming and comfortable to work with
