Cloud Native API Architect
Growing technology driven leader is seeking to hire a Cloud Native API Architect due to growth. Qualified candidates will have similar experience to the following:
- Experience at a senior technical lead / architect level in a commercial setting
- Hands-on extensive experience in Microservices, API, Java 8, GCP, AWS Cloud Solutions, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Cassandra, Springboot, Drools Rule Engine, Spring Cloud Services, Java, Kafka, API Gateway, Spring Boot, ECS, Kong, GLUE, REST, GraphQL, Swagger
- Event driven architecture
- Understanding of concepts such as: cyber threat defense, high availability engineering, containerization, single page application development, server less computing, elastic scalability, high performance RDBMS/NoSQL, big data, Cassandra DSE, Kafka, Couchbase
- Implementation or working experience of Continuous Integration and Continues Delivery using tools and automation capabilities such as JUnit, Mocking, TestNG, Jenkins, Git, Stash and Jira
- Evangelize, design and deliver cloud solutions aligned to business and IT requirements
- Experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing
- Collaborative work ethics to thrive on peer support and taking pride in of products and capabilities delivered as a team
- Ability to balance priorities and break down complex problems to manageable chunks that can be delivered incrementally
- Work across the organization to educate, collaborate and facilitate adoption of cloud concepts
- Guide implementation teams to successful delivery, using industry best practices, patterns and principles
- Understanding of a wide variety of both legacy and modern cloud integration technologies
- Digital transformation
- Experience with performance and monitoring tools e.g. Splunk and App Dynamics is a plus.
