Engineering Manager - Piping Design
Role:
As an Engineering Manager - Piping Design, you'll be supporting a Director of Engineering to help oversee a large team of piping engineers but also large piping projects. This would include managing team performance, project performance, technical direction, execution strategies, process improvements, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Manager a large team of direct and indirect reports; upwards of 100 employees
- Drive team performance relating to project schedules, project costs, estimates, and strategies
- Oversee piping design and layout strategies
- Drive the team to execute layout and piping designs from concept through execution
- Oversee progress and performance of projects; including manpower, work breakdown structures, earned value, etc.
- Ensure engineering is in accordance with standards, codes, policies, and procedures
- Coach, train, mentor, and develop employees
- Special Projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master's or MBA is highly preferred
- 15+ years of progressive professional experience within an Engineering and piping discipline
- 8+ year of prior management experience; must have managed large teams across multiple locations
- Must have prior experience within an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company
- Prior Plot Plan, 3D modeling, and model review experience is key
Working Conditions:
This position is an in-office position that is offering relocation for the right candidate.
