Payroll Associate
Role:
As a Payroll Associate, this person will be assisting the Payroll Manager in the weekly and bi-monthly high volume payroll processing across multiple states and locations. This would also include any changes to payroll, importing hours, reconciling, preparing check requests, responding to inquires, problem resolutions, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Payroll Manager to process bi-monthly and weekly multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried professionals
- Review, import and enter hours for time-entry, and processing changes, including benefit deductions, tax changes, etc.
- Contacts various supervisors for any missed timesheet entries for terminating employees.
- Assists Payroll team with fiscal and year-end merit and bonus entries.
- Maintains payroll and related documentation for personnel files
- Prepare, Print, and distribute checks
- Reconcile pay information for payroll and make corrections as necessary
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or higher is required
- 1+ year or prior experience with a high volume of weekly multi-state payroll
- Prior union payroll experience is a huge plus
- Prior experience with Oracle, Kronos or similar payroll systems is a plus
- Detail orientated, ability to work as a team as well as independently, as well as work with all levels and types of employees
