Job Details:
My client is a highly regarded Union Mechanical Contractor who does large sky line changing projects in and around the NYC metro area. They are seeking an HVAC Piping Estimator who can get involved with multi-million dollar skyline changing commercial, Industrial and institutional projects.
Additional duties are:
Mechanical Piping Estimator:
The primary function of the HVAC Piping estimator is to prepare cost and labor estimates for mechanical piping work, review bid specifications, plans and specs, and other construction documents to develop an accurate scope and competitive proposal.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete HVAC piping estimates for commercial projects
- Review documents and establish accurate scopes of work
- Perform take-offs for both Plan & Spec and Design Build projects, as well as budget work
- Review and negotiate vendor and subcontractor proposals
- Review and negotiate proposals with various owners and general contractors
- Follow-up on proposals and potential new work
- Assist project management in change order estimates
Good software skills essential is as is being proactive, stubborn, and persistent.!
Public works projects a major plus! Looking for a Pure Estimator with large project exp.
