SR. ESTIMATOR
Senior Estimator prepares cost estimates for all engineering disciplines and provides guidance to junior estimating staff. Senior Estimator responsibilities include preparation of cost estimates, pricing and cost bench-marking validations. Senior Estimator will utilize industry experience to develop cost estimates that are reflective of local market and project conditions. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience in heavy industrial construction industry, with a strength in project estimating for process plant projects. Practical Application of Responsibilities: Provide value analysis solutions including cost/schedule implications, coordinate bid efforts, processing RFI’s, and interfacing between bidding community and design team members on negotiated projects. Strong knowledge of conceptual estimating and project estimating based on factoring capital equipment cost. Detail, define level estimates for project funding Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: 5+ years of heavy industrial experience. Ideally the candidate will possess a degree or equivalent experience in Construction or an associated Engineering field with estimating experience on medium to large industrial construction projects. General knowledge of construction principals/practices required. Experience dealing with subcontractors and self-performed work. Experience in leading successful team ventures, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities and subcontractor community. Experience working in different geographical areas. Ability, willingness and patience to mentor Jr. Estimating staff. Ability to interact with customers on a professional level. Ability to work in a group environment and manage resources. Understanding of project development from inception to final installation and commissioning. Proven skills in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project. Strong communication and organizational skills.
