Job Details:
Account Executive - Outside Sales
- Actively researches potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources (i.e. Hoover, Epicor, etc.), make multiple calls to potential customers, send communication, and make contact;
- Collaborates with Manager, Marketing, Engineering and Sales teams to identify new sales opportunities;
- Manages leads (trade show, marketing, et al), perform focused cold calling and escalate if necessary;
- Manages inbound leads (from digital campaigns, tradeshows, E-commerce, etc.) by pre-qualifying them based on appropriateness and financial soundness. If warranted, direct the lead to appropriate area;
- Provides quotations of products requested with established limits;
- Continuous follow through with presenting and delivering information to potential customers, answering questions with follow-up calls;
- Builds relationships by understanding client needs (before they do) and offering solutions and support. Upsell and cross-sell;
- Creates and maintains an accurate and up to date list/profile/database of prospect and current customers (eg. ERP,CRM);
- Purposeful continuous communication with accounts, including but not limited to, asking for the order, asking for new projects to quote or spec, asking for extended contacts;
- Manages and owns new and select existing accounts and distributors; Actively processes orders;
- Proactively responds to RFQ’s and product questions. Escalate if necessary to engineering including general email box RFQ’s. Offer cross-sell and up sell options;
- Experience working for a manufacturer preferred
- up to 50% travel
- Bachelors degree required.
