Lead Senior Financial Cost Accountant
Role:
As a Lead Senior Financial Cost Accountant, you'll be responsible for leading a team of cost accountants and plant accountants to help drive efficiencies, improvements and timely processes. This would also include leading all cost accounting functions, capital expenditures, reporting, compliance, SOX controls, month end close, etc. This is a highly visible integral position within the organization!
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of cost accountants and plant accounting professionals
- Oversee all cost accounting functions, month end close, reporting, depreciation, variances, journal entries, etc.
- Prepare month end close, budgets, reports, KPI's, audits, etc.
- Act as a subject matter expert for process improvements, continuous improvements, cost efficiencies, etc.
- Work cross functionally with operations, project managers, general accounting, manufacturing, and supply chain
- Coach, mentor, and train staff
- Special ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance is required; MBA or master’s is a plus
- CPA, CMA or Progress towards is a plus
- 5+ progressive years of experience within a manufacturing or similar industry; Prior management or supervisory experience is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting or plant accounting
- Public accounting experience is preferred
