Job Details:
Maintenance Manager
• Direct the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
• Develop and maintain a critical spare parts list for each machine. Determine what parts should be on hand, and
develop a follow-up process in replacements of used parts.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance program to include predictive techniques and methods, auditing
process and records of planned and completed maintenance.
• Implement continuous improvement activities designed to increase up time and equipment efficiencies.
• Direct and supervise maintenance staff.
• Provide Technical expertise and hands-on mechanical / electrical support where applicable.
• Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services
• Support the external audit process to ensure positive outcomes for all required/desired certifications.
• Prioritize and assign maintenance technicians to facility projects, maintenance repairs, and preventative maintenance
supporting production, facility, and company.
• Ensure housekeeping of assigned maintenance areas.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors and other support departments for the completion of cross functional
projects.
• Expedite and coordinate with the purchasing department any critical repair parts, services, and materials needed to
support production projects. Maintain conformance to procedures related to these acquisitions.
• Direct activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or
improve existing products.
• Create continuous improvement initiatives by conferring with management, engineering, and quality assurance
personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of
machines and equipment.
• Plan and manage facility's maintenance budget.
• Forecast areas of training and development required for the efficient operation of the maintenance department.
• Ensure that employee reviews are conducted on an annual basis and in a consistent manner.
• Other duties as it relates to this position.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an industrial supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Must have prior manufacturing industry experience
• Previous experience implementing a preventative maintenance program
• Ability to make decisions about suggestions for change.
• Organize tasks and set priorities while coordinating work with the work of others.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills
