HVAC Service Manager
SERVICE MANAGER
The HVAC Service Manager is accountable for providing outstanding service to our customers for all HVAC related repairs to ensure we achieve the company’s objectives and successfully executing our annual plan.
Activities:
Create turnover opportunities for the department
Identify the appropriate way to satisfy our customer’s needs through the various services and offerings provided by Capital
Cross promote all parts of the business
Knowledge of Inspection on HVAC systems to identify preventive maintenance issues
Ensure all appropriate tests are performed during maintenance to include static pressure, refrigerant charge, and amperage draws.
Provide an amazing experience for your customer on every job
Follow and train Service System process and procedures
Provide support, expertise, leadership and accountability for the department
Ensure you are working on a call by call basis with dispatch and technicians to reinforce and change behavior to achieve daily win
Be with your team 50% of the time (ride-along, train, coach).
Schedule and perform 1-on-1 meetings with your direct reports and ensure all team members receive weekly (ride a-long s count as a 1-on-1)
Look for ways to modernize your customers’ systems
Schedule and perform quarterly and annual reviews with your direct reports and ensure all team members are complete
Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members
Maintain service fleet condition and readiness
Responsible for the over-all achievement of departmental sales and gross profit dollars budget
Perform all work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
7-10 years of experience in a HVAC service management role
Exceptional leadership skills to build and train a high-performance team
Exceptional oral and written communications
Leadership
Drive for results
Need to be a good communicator
Comfortable learning new software applications
Attention to detail
Must have a clean criminal background and pass a drug test.
