Senior Systems Engineer
What we need:
My client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support Infrastructure environment with focus on Active Directory, VMware and Cloud implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the leading technologies, including but not limited to: Citrix, VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, Avamar/Datadomain, DELLEMC storage, Microsoft and Linux OS servers, AWS and Azure cloud providers.
Successful candidates will have 5+ years of IT infrastructure design and administration experience, delivering on projects and providing excellent customer service as it relates to Active Directory.
What you will do:
Leading and managing the administrative and design tasks for Active Directory, ADFS, SAML and other SSO providers.
Work with onshore/offshore teams in regards to Active Directory migrations, Scripting, conversions and cleanup.
Manage Active Directory Domains and objects in primarily a Windows and Linux environment.
Support Cloud First Initiative by evaluating and leading migration of servers/application to the cloud.
Automate routine tasks as it relates to AD auditing and information gathering through the use of PowerShell scripts and other scripting technologies.
Monitor AD performance and provide recommendations of continuous improvements
Independently manage multiple Infrastructure Projects and provide weekly updates
Create and maintain documentation: logical/physical diagrams, run books, root cause analysis and other technical engineering documents.
Consistently demonstrate initiative and commitment to optimizing systems and processes.
Work with vendor technical support on advanced technical issues
Supporting a wide variety of enterprise applications and infrastructure technologies
Train, Mentor, Delegate and provide guidance to NOC L1 and L2 Engineers
Ability to work after hours, nights, weekends and provide emergency response support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year when required.
Qualifications
What you need to have:
5+ years of experience managing Active Directory Environments
2+ years of experience with building out and managing cloud environments
2+ years of experience managing and optimizing VMWare environments
Bachelor’s Degree

Experience with SCCM 2012 Administration specifically as it relates to server patching.
Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering with SQL Server in Virtual environment.
VCP and MCSE Certifications
Experience working in SAN technologies such VMAX / VNX
Experience with Windows 2012 R2 – 2019 Server administration
Experience with Monitoring solutions such VMware vRealize
Solid understanding of essential TCP/IP protocols: TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and understanding of wider set protocols.
Solid understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk, memory, CPU, NIC, HBA, firmware, RAID, performance concepts (I/O, paging, swapping, latency).
Effective communications and documentation skills in a compliance-regulated environment.
Experience with Multi Active Directory and Group Policy administration and troubleshooting.
Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
