Engineering Manager (Water, Wastewater)
My client, a highly regarded utility provider has an immediate need to add a talented Engineering Manager to their team. This person will be required to provide oversight, project management, capital planning, design engineering for regional water/wastewater systems.
MUST HAVES!
- BS - Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable - However candidates who meet the rest of the criteria and have the ability to obtain their PE within 6 months will also be considered.
- At least 8 years of water/wastewater industry experience.
- Excellent Project Management skills and experience are KEY to this position.
- Capital budget management experience (up to $40m)
- Ability to oversee and direct technical staff, consultants and supervise regional inspectors and coordinators
- Superb communication skills (you will be required to effectively deal with various agencies, employees, municipal officials and the public).
- Assist in the development of capital improvement plans ( prepare estimates, construction schedules, contract docs, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies at all times.
- Ability to travel frequently within the state of Ohio
- There is an on-call aspect to this job.
