Wireless Network Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
This position has primary responsibility for managing and engineering network system to meet organizational business needs. Must be able to work with multiple teams and business units simultaneously and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must demonstrate the eagerness and ability to learn and must work well in a team environment
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, engineering or related field
Previous Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in administering networks in a large enterprise setting
Experience with Cisco and Aruba Wireless systems and network-based security protocols and methodologies (IPSec, SSL, TLS, ACLs, etc.)
Experience with Layer 2-4 switching technologies is essential
Some Experience Cisco Unified Communications platform (Call Manager, Unity, Unified CCX)
Some Experience with Firewall Configurations\ Management (Palo Alto Preferred)
Experience Designing, Implementing and Monitoring Enterprise Wireless (Aruba Preferred)
Core Capabilities:
Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of network design and operations for consumer-oriented access technologies, large enterprises, hosting system designs, or very large-scale internet backbone topologies
In-depth knowledge of technology trends and maintains a broad personal network of industry experts
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment and desire to deliver excellent customer service
Certifications/Licenses: Network Certification (CCNA, CCNP, CCDE, PCNSE) , ITIL V.3 is desirable; valid driver’s license in the state of residence is required.
