Senior Accountant

Role:
In this role as Senior Accountant in a well-known healthcare organization, you will report to the controller. You will be responsible for the accounting, which includes month end close, general ledger, revenue accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have healthcare/hospital experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the controller with revenue accounting
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Assist Controller with journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement and analysis
- Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required (Accounting degree preferred)
- 2 + years minimum in related healthcare, hospital, medical device, or physician setting
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience with Lawson is preferred
