My client an excellent medical communications agency is actively seeking an Account Director (specifically publications & publication planning focused) to manage client relations within assigned agency account(s). This is a full time permanent opportunity within an excellent company with room for upward mobility and career growth. Titles within the industry vary agency to agency so salary is open and depends on level of experience. Individuals with relevant experience but a different job title are urged to apply (Sr Account Manager, Account Director, Sr Account Director, Client Service Manager, etc.).
Individuals for this position can either work in the office, or has the autonomy to be remote based - work from home.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as main client contact for all aspects of account management including finances, timelines, HCP & KOL correspondence, daily updates, troubleshooting, etc.
- Manage assigned team members executing projects (PM’s, PC’s, etc.)
- Ensure delivery of projects that meet client specifications
- Organize and execute publication plans
- Work in conjunction with senior team members to ensure company revenue and profitability expectations in your assigned accounts are met
- Interact and work with all relevant team members provide information that may assist in day-to-day work.
- Responsible for managing client relations for assigned agency client(s)
- Provide strategic direction with the ability to manage client’s demands as well as work with internal teams to deliver
- Excellent leadership and strategic direction required for both internal staff as well as client management.
- Organic growth of existing clients as well as lead efforts for identifying potential new business opportunities
- Stay current on brand / therapeutic developments and potential opportunities
- Experience managing junior account services staff a plus
Client Job Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience within publication planning experience in a medical communications setting
- Publications /Publication planning industry experience is REQUIRED
- Prior experience with database management program is a plus (i.e. Datavision)
- BA/BS College Degree preferred
- CMPP Certification a plus but not required
- Strong Account/Project Management experience with, publication planning and healthcare communications experience
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented, organized, shows initiative
- Successfully manage and maintain client and vendor relationships
- Ensure that client service delivery meets customer needs while strengthening client relationship in order to expand business opportunities
- Junior staff management experience is a plus
- Manage client deliverables, making sure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained.
- Excellent relationship building, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Project)
- Strong computer skills: i.e. Microsoft Office/Project
